AI Policy

AI and AI-Assisted Technologies Policy

The Editorial Board of "Perinatology and Reproductology: from Scientific Research to Practice" recognizes the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in research but establishes clear boundaries for its use to ensure transparency and scientific integrity.

  1. Authorship and Accountability
  • AI cannot be an author: AI technologies (such as ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) do not meet the criteria for authorship because they cannot take legal or ethical responsibility for the content of the work.
  • Authors' Responsibility: Authors are fully responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and originality of the submitted manuscript, including any content generated or edited with the assistance of AI.
  1. Disclosure of AI Use
  • If authors have used AI or AI-assisted technologies in the writing process, data analysis, or image creation, this must be clearly disclosed in the cover letter and in a dedicated section of the manuscript (e.g., "Acknowledgments" or "Methods").
  • Authors must describe which tool was used and for what specific purpose.
  1. Restrictions
  • Peer Review: Reviewers are strictly prohibited from uploading manuscripts into AI tools, as this violates confidentiality policies and copyright laws.
  • Image Generation: The use of AI to create or manipulate medical images (ultrasound scans, micrographs, etc.) is not permitted if it risks distorting clinical data.
